1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account or sign in, we collect:
- Email address
- Name (if provided via Google OAuth)
- Profile picture (if provided via Google OAuth)
- Authentication tokens and session identifiers
- Consent timestamps (when you agree to Terms and Privacy Policy)
1.2 Chat Conversations and Messages
When you use the Oracle chat feature, we collect and store:
- All chat messages: Both your messages and AI assistant responses are stored in our secure database
- Conversation threads: Your chat sessions are organized into threads, each with a unique session identifier
- Personality analysis data: Insights, confidence scores, and assessment progress derived from your conversations
- Metadata: Timestamps, message counts, and technical information about each conversation
How chat data is used:
- To provide and maintain your conversation history across sessions
- To generate personality insights and assessments
- To improve the accuracy of the Oracle's responses and analysis
- To enable you to review and continue past conversations
Sharing with AI providers: Your chat messages are sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate responses and personality analysis. These providers process your messages according to their own privacy policies. We do not use your conversations to train general-purpose AI models, and we instruct our providers not to use your data for training purposes.
1.3 Other Usage Data
We automatically collect additional information about how you interact with the Service:
- Personality assessment results and progress
- Session identifiers and timestamps
- Feature usage patterns and preferences
- Device information (browser type, operating system)
- IP address and approximate location
1.4 Payment Information
We do not store your full payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We receive and store:
- Stripe customer ID
- Subscription status and plan information
- Billing period dates
- Transaction metadata (amount, currency, status)
1.5 Cookies and Similar Technologies
- Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management
- Preference cookies: Store your settings and preferences
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how you use the Service (if enabled)
2. How We Use Your Information

- Generate AI-powered personality insights and assessments
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Send transactional emails (magic links, account notifications)

6.1 Chat Conversation Retention
Storage: Your chat messages and conversations are stored in our secure database (hosted on Neon/PostgreSQL) and are associated with your account or session identifier.
Retention period: Chat conversations are retained until:
- You manually delete them through the Settings page
- You delete your account (all associated chat data will be deleted)
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period (subject to our data retention policies)
Deletion: You can delete individual chat threads or your entire chat history at any time from the Settings page. When you delete chat data:
- Messages are permanently removed from our database
- Associated personality analysis data may be retained in anonymized form for service improvement
- Data may remain in backups for up to 30 days before permanent deletion
Account deletion: If you delete your account, all chat conversations, messages, and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements or backup restoration windows.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Restriction: Request limitation of processing
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
9.1 Age Requirements by Feature
- Free features: Available to users 13 years of age and older
- Paid subscriptions: Require users to be 18 years of age or older to purchase
- Parent-managed accounts: Parents or guardians may create accounts and purchase subscriptions on behalf of minors (ages 13-17). In such cases, the parent or guardian is the account holder and is responsible for the minor's use of the Service.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
